Please explore the information below to learn more about a few of our reoccurring social events. The Desert Doves are committed to fostering a sense of community here in Tucson. Our community events are open to all: community members, RPCVs, Coverdell Fellows, students, partners, friends, family, (anyone!). All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Desert Doves Events

GENERAL MEMBER MEETING

Saturday, May 16th from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM Member meeting and graduation celebration at Susan and Tom's place (1616 East Calle Altivo, Tucson, AZ 85718). We will have some food and deserts on hand, but feel free to bring a dish or beverage to share.

At this meeting we'll provide a brief organizational update, but more importantly we will celebrate our graduating RPCV Coverdell Fellows, graduating Peace Corps Prep (and future volunteers!), and any community members who've been invited to serve in the near future.

FIRST FRIDAYS HAPPY HOUR

1st Friday of every month at 6:00 PM. The next happy hour is at Zerai's on 5/1.

INTERNATIONAL MOVIE NIGHT

International movie night is monthly. The latest showing was on 10/25. Events will be posted in the newsletter and on Facebook.

VOLLEYBALL MEET-UP

Join fellow RPCVs and friends on Saturday mornings for a weekly volleyball meetup at Anza Park. Start time varies with the weather. Call or text Chris (815-529-2780) to confirm before attending.
